We listed our home with a realtor from a well known real estate company in
September of 2002; she was very eager to sell our house and was determined to
do it very quickly. We felt she had a sincere and honest approach about selling
our home, and that she would do everything she could in doing so.
Like most new listings we had a lot of traffic going through our home, we figured
that it would only be a short time until we had an offer. After about 3 weeks
the showings had dwindled until they eventually faded.
Due to a family illness, we were focused on other matters until one day we
got a phone call from our real estate agent who had mentioned that our listing
had expired 3 weeks ago. She wanted to know if we would want to re-list after
Christmas in perhaps January or February. We never spoke to her again. We contacted
my sister who put us in touch with her friend at ReMax in Winnipeg. He had referred
us to Mike MacLean at ReMax in Calgary.
Mike had called us and explained his approach to selling homes using the Web
and his contacts with other real estate agents. After
receiving information from other real estate agents who had noticed our listing
expired we decided that Mike and Gary would provide us the service we needed to
sell our home.
We invited Mike to come by and give us his professional opinion about our house.
Mike gave us clear understanding about what we should list at and why. We
had a sale about 20 days after we listed.
I strongly believe that there are some real estate agents that are out to just
get the listing and rely on other real estate agents to do the work.
I feel that Mike and Gary are the real estate agents working. I would
recommend Mike and Gary for selling anyone’s home knowing that they will
provide the service that you would expect from a professional real estate agent.
If you would like please contact me personally if you have any questions or
concerns.
Sincerely,
Blaine Froese
